In a letter dated December 16, 2010 to Principal Andy Wilkins, it was announced that the "Minnesota Center for Reading Research in the College of Education and Human Development at the University of Minnesota, would like to honor the students, teachers, and administrators of your school at a ceremony on the University's St. Paul campus."
This honor comes to the school as a result of the improvements made in reading scores over the past two years. We are very proud of the staff, students and parents in our elementary and are pleased to be recognized in this manner by this respected organization in the State of Minnesota. Congratulations on all the hard work and dedication shown by the staff to earn this distinction.
